Real talk: this week was a total balancing act. ⚖️ Between work and medical appointments, the fatigue hit hard by the weekend—but there were still some big wins on two wheels!

  • 3 bike rides done (including a 1-hour session!) 🚴‍♂️
  • Pacing felt strong and steady.
  • The pool didn’t happen this week, but it’s the #1 priority for next. 🏊‍♂️

Learning to listen to my body and keep mental health at the forefront. Sometimes “progress” just means knowing when to rest. Now, time for today’s ride!

Beyond the Surface: Learning to Speak Up When the Load is Heavy

When 6 hours of work feels like a mountain. This week was a lesson in navigating PTSD, physical exhaustion, and the importance of speaking up instead of internalizing the struggle.

Trying to explain the exercise hurt

At the weekend, my husband and I walked or should I say st(rolled) parkrun at a leisurely pace for a change. This resulted in the opportunity to chat as we went, something we can’t usually do! An interesting topic came up, a comment on which has stuck in my mind ever since.
