As you know if you follow me online, I have been waiting 3 years and 7 months for ACC (the Accident Compensation Corporation) to modify my house and make it wheelchair accessible following my left leg below knee amputation (which was a result of medical negligence and was 100% avoidable).

#172 Leg day no 5: hydraulic ankle Q&A

With this leg came a significant ankle upgrade. I was so excited to try this! I already had heaps of questions about it so I have included all of these in today’s video blog. On top of all that excitement we have also started work on a cycling leg!

#165 Going it alone in the water & busting my bests in the walking

Taking full advantage of the surroundings while I can, today I went for an open water swim ON MY OWN.. for the first time in my life! That’s bad enough on two feet never mind one! Afternoon walks finished my day.. in a way I simply never expected.

It’s the start of Easter weekend so I’m off up towards some lakes.. probably my last open water swim before winter sets in.. and the only other long weekend public holiday outside of Christmas/ New Year!
