8 months today: the other bits
Today marks 8 months since they they took my left leg below the knee. It feels like just yesterday, yet at the same time feels like a million years ago. So I decided to mark today in pictures instead of words.
It’s true, I have achieved a lot, but there is still much I also want to achieve.

Taking full advantage of the surroundings while I can, today I went for an open water swim ON MY OWN.. for the first time in my life! That’s bad enough on two feet never mind one! Afternoon walks finished my day.. in a way I simply never expected.

Despite the day starting in a rather crappy fashion I managed to turn it into something awesome. I also learned a valuable lesson about forming judgements about people before they talk to me. It’s interesting because it directly relates to my own self beliefs and where I am at in the whole amputee- grief journey.
