I’m so excited, scared… such a mixture of emotions. I think it’s the para-unknown. I remember a disabled athlete friend saying to me a while back how you have to learn real fast to put a lot of trust in strangers.. I’m now feeling that completely! I’ve chatted to the race organisers, we will work this first one out together!

Whisked away to Wanka – lucky me!
It’s been a while since we had a break, I am currently injured (no, not the knee replacement) and wasn’t expecting this at all. It was lovely just to get away for a while in one of my favourite places – Wanaka – and just relax.
New year in Timaru: 1000km road trip!
We set off on our road trip on the 28th December, heading to our favourite campsite, Lake Wanaka Outlet. We got there, of course, via the beautiful five rivers cafe and the Devils staircase, which was looking particularly stunning in the hot summer sunshine. Queenstown Winterfest and the Warrens have landed!
It wasn’t until a client mentioned it a few weeks ago that I realised, Marks friends were coming over on WinterFest weekend!
