I have come across this problem lately. As I am finally (FINALLY!) able to ride for an hour or so at a decent aerobic load, I have found that after just 30 mins or so, I start feeling light headed and nauseous. I have never NEVER had this type of issue ever in my life. I knew immediately it was to do with fuelling. I possibly suspected the amputation may have had an effect too, but I completely underestimated the scale of the issue and the factors influencing this.

Balancing Work and Wellness: My Weekly Journey

Real talk: this week was a total balancing act. ⚖️ Between work and medical appointments, the fatigue hit hard by the weekend—but there were still some big wins on two wheels!

  • 3 bike rides done (including a 1-hour session!) 🚴‍♂️
  • Pacing felt strong and steady.
  • The pool didn’t happen this week, but it’s the #1 priority for next. 🏊‍♂️

Learning to listen to my body and keep mental health at the forefront. Sometimes “progress” just means knowing when to rest. Now, time for today’s ride!
