Geraint Howell Thomas, OBE is a Welsh professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Team Ineos, Wales and Great Britain, competing on both track and road. On the track, he has won three World Championships, and two Olympic gold medals, while on the road he won the 2018 Tour de France.

Day 11: Covid-19 Lock Down
We are approaching two weeks of complete lock down in New Zealand and it has most certainly been a tough adjustment for many, me included.
I do get the feeling that for people like my husband, who is an employee, it feels a bit more like an involuntary holiday, whereas for business owners like me, it’s rather more stressful. A day by day evolving situation with daily law changes almost. I am religiously listening to the daily 1pm press conferences in a bid to keep up with everything.

This week has been all about getting some training going and some balance with work not taking over. This is quite tricky when it is still windy rainy spring time in the deep south! Still, I have figured out a way to fit in swimming without it being a pain in my ass so that must be a good thing, right?
Cycling progress; training with Zwift

This week, cycling has been my focus as I attempt to get my training back on track. Winter continues to rip through Southland meaning going outside is a lot less desirable than staying indoors! So, Zwift has been getting some exercise as I work at consistent cycling without freezing my ass off.
