The title itself doesn’t sound too unusual, but if I added the date: Sunday 30 June, then it starts to sound a bit more unusual!
Sadly, I was in the UK for my mothers funeral at the time, but Mark still went anyway.
I asked him how it was. He said it was just like a regular Christmas dinner, with crackers, a roast (sadly no Turkey though!) and Santa, however the date made it fell a bit odd.
It was well organised (thank you Invercargill Ex Pats club!) and well attended. There were activities for the children who made various types of Christmas decorations and face masks, etc, crackers, and hats and everything!
I Look forward to joining them next year, and I look forward also to my REAL (mid summer) Christmas still to come in December!
