Balancing Work and Wellness: My Weekly Journey

Real talk: this week was a total balancing act. ⚖️ Between work and medical appointments, the fatigue hit hard by the weekend—but there were still some big wins on two wheels!

  • 3 bike rides done (including a 1-hour session!) 🚴‍♂️
  • Pacing felt strong and steady.
  • The pool didn’t happen this week, but it’s the #1 priority for next. 🏊‍♂️

Learning to listen to my body and keep mental health at the forefront. Sometimes “progress” just means knowing when to rest. Now, time for today’s ride!

#279 More medical issues: not allowed to walk for a while

Well this was a bolt out of the blue. The old vascular damage caused by my original missed diagnosis comes back to bite me, meaning I’m now not allowed to walk for a while.

#276 Donating blood – or so I thought

For over 12 years I have been banned from giving blood due to CJD in the 1980’s in Britain. Finally that ban was lifted. I attended my first blood donor appt in NZ today. But CJD was the least of my problems.
