ROKR Owl clock build

Today’s crafty antics – it’s my first go at one of these types of kits.

Truthfully.. I lost my patience with it very early on and it’s been back in the cupboard for a few weeks at least.

👎🏻 Made of craft plywood in push out sheets. So some small parts were pretty brittle – there were a few breaks and superglue was needed at times.
👎🏻 Difficult to know what parts you’re making at first and how it all comes together. Instructions took a while to understand too.

👍🏻 Once I mastered the above challenges it only took me about an afternoon to build.
😏in theory – you need no glue, scissors or anything else. It’s all click together parts. Providing you don’t break any like I did 🤣 only additional thing I used was pliers
❣️quite a large clock.. bigger than I expected
🤔 the clock face and mechanism was the very last thing to be made. It simply hooks onto the front, easily removable to change the battery and adjust the time.
⚙️The cogs, mechanics and pendulum are to operate a 0-30 min timer – I didn’t even realise it had that feature!
🔋 runs on 1 x AA battery (not included in the kit)

⚠️ my kit didn’t have lubricant in it- which it seems it was meant to. You’ll need some of that which helps put the tighter wooden pieces together. I used tweezers and some massage wax! 🤪

      1. I’m struggling to get the hour hand onto the clock face. Do you have any tips?
