Southland Times coverage: ACC house modification delays

Following the article published by the Otago Daily Times (previously blogged right here) The Southland Times, after some negotiation, also came to the party. I saw this as an opportunity to write a follow up article, presenting BOTH sides as I felt like ACC blamed me the last time around, and I had no right of reply.

The reporter made it clear that she would be stepping outside of the normal journalistic style for this paper, but was keen to get my point across to counter what ACC might say this time.

Vascular update

Life is not always happiness and smiles.. even though social media might make it look like that sometimes.

Following a limb centre appt 5 weeks ago due to unexpected left leg pain, the possibility of further vascular issues was raised.

I’ve not been allowed to walk for 5 weeks.

I asked ACC to make me an URGENT vascular appt.. I am yet to hear back. 🙄😒
