An action packed weekend!! We were asked whether we wanted to go to a hypnotist show on Friday evening. We thought, for $20 each, and for something to do, why not. 

We decided to make a thing of it, and went out for dinner before hand to the Batch cafe. Its a popular cafe, which has only just started opening in the evening. Its like a half way house between a cafe and a restaurant.  Continue reading “Rugby, Running, and the Theatre!”

Sandy Point and Bluff

Mark’s first weekend in New Zealand. He was never going to match my bike ride to Bluff and back, but I persuaded him to join a small group of runners I had met a few weeks back. They run at various places, and this week was Sandy point. A 7:30am meet means dawn rises during the run and a head torch is essential!

Queenstown, Arrowtown and Lake Wakatipu

The lady I am staying with called her friend in Queenstown, saying we were coming to visit. She agreed to drive me up there and show me the sights today because she had a day off work, which was very kind of her indeed. Nothing prepared me for the beauty of the area though.
