We didn’t really know what this was, but it was advertised for weeks, so we decided to go along and take a look. The weather was lovely, spring was definitely in the air!
What was it? A car show, bike show, wood chopping axe wielding show, yeah, quite Kiwi I think! The cars and bikes were all brought by locals who entered them into the show, the people judged them, then the winner was awarded a prize. There were craft stalls, food stalls, and even a wood choppers demonstration It seems, judging by what the guy said, that wood chopping is a sport, there is a season for it, and they do structured training and everything! Mark decided he definitely needed an axe!
A great day was had by all, I think.
