My first customisation – I give you the Old Oak Pub! (I used the Rolife kit called the light music bar as a base.)
Decided to go all in on the customisation and I changed quite a lot!

Things I changed
⭐️Extended the base out front to give space for outside seating
⭐️all walls and floor coverings changed
⭐️changed the bar layout to move the taps to the centre of the bar, and turned them around so they would face the bar staff. The original layout seemed a bit weird to me.
⭐️ there is a band playing tonight in my pub.. did you notice their names? 🤔. Made the mic stand and keyboard myself to add to the guitar.
⭐️ didn’t like the original sofa style, so I used its wooden base, made it new back and arms and covered it with different fabric
⭐️ took the inside table outside. Then discovered in the process of making chairs to go with it that its scale was a bit out and it was too tall. So it became leaner style table with stools instead. 2-3 draft versions of those stools went before the end version!
⭐️ changed the inside bar stools.. because I murdered the original (wire) ones! 🤪

Additional Materials used;
👉🏻Balsa wood / craft sticks for additional furniture made
👉🏻Acrylic paint
👉🏻Graphic fine liners for the hand drawn pub sign
👉🏻Scrapbooking paper for walls and floors
👉🏻plywood layered together to make the additional base
Had lots and lots of fun with this one however it did challenge my autism somewhat, when I chose to customise it! It meant I had to build it in a different order to the instructions! I started with the walls and the lighting, then decided what items to add, change, build from scratch.
In this way it kinda came together as it went along. It is slightly different to what I started out imagining, but not all that different! For example, I added a couch, when I saw the empty space I had t filled.
I moved the bar taps when my husband made a comment about how weird they looked in the picture instructions, and the table out front – I was going to make another originally, then decided to use the kit one. But had to make the chairs into stools because the scale wasn’t correct for it to be table and chairs.
All in all it took me around 2 – 2.5 weeks in total.
