I have to say I have serious conversion tendencies when it come to knowing what on earth to expect with the weather down here at certain times of year.
I was walking through Queens Park the other day when the conversion suddenly came to me:
it is autumn, the leaves are falling. That must mean only one thing:
April down here = October up in the northern hemisphere.
Therefore it must also mean that;
May = November
June = December
July = January
August = February
September = March
October = April
November = May
December = June
January = July
February = August
March = September
Glad I have that cleared up – for me at least!
My next question is why then are the school summer holidays in January here, when the better weather is February (August in the UK, which is when the schools are actually off in the northern hemisphere?)
