We decided to take Dad on the scenic route back through the Catlins, to give him a taste of what is to come! He was finding it all a bit surreal at first that he was actually here at all.
He did comment how different the forest / bush looks here than in the UK. Exotic, jungle like, almost, which is what I have said before as well.
We stopped off for lunch at our little favourite, Niagra Falls cafe. Always worth a trip, if you are ever passing that way!
