TEAM MARBEL Challenge Wanaka race weekend

IMG_7794This week was all about Challenge Wanaka: a plan in the making for a very long time. We set off to Wanaka on Friday, with a swish apartment booked for the long weekend: relaxing in style was Ben’s idea. Thanks Ben! Well, we do have 3.8km-180km-42km to cover on Sunday!

Saving the wildlife, living the high life!

This week I have caught and rescued birds (from the clutches of my cats!) found where they hide proper English marmite here, made my first kiwi mince and cheese pie and posted off all my Christmas cards!

Regattas, mountains, and unusual fruit!

20140603-192502-69902948.jpgEach time I go to the supermarket, it’s like a new learning experience. This week, we bought a new strange fruit, just to see what it was like. This is a Kiwano. It is also known as the African horned cucumber or horned melon.
