Hotel review: Disability access – Crowne Plaza Queenstown

In a world where disability access is paid lip service at best, it makes me quite angry when I encounter the battles I have had (and a personal injury as well) at the Crowne Plaza Queenstown.

It also makes me quite angry when nothing is done to address my complaint.

I’m all for giving praise where praise is due. Sometimes though, I have to do the opposite.

  1. Thanks for taking the time to make a complaint.
The attitude you are running into is very typically NZ these days -nobody actually cares, they just go through the motions of pretending to.
The worse offenders are large corporates with the ‘we say so’ attitude.
Try dealing with the smaller operators, and do this directly if you can, because booking.com are quite nasty to them if they dont toe the line (eg offering a lower price than it is on booking.com means they get listed last)

    1. You make some great points here. The thing is, I actually called them directly to book the second time (for the exact reason that you mention) and that’s when it got significantly worse. 😒 Can’t win these days, no one has time for anyone else at all it seems.
