Poem: getting old

Things ache some more

Can’t do what you did before

When did that sneak up, you ask?

Getting old, it’s quite a task.

Slow to wake,

Slow to sleep,

Sometimes all you do is sleep.

Getting old, it sucks, I say.

Mind says yes,

But my body says no!

I have so much more to do before I go!

Getting old before my time!

Massive dreams, little time

Work is getting in the way of my life.

So many holidays I want to do

Getting old. Don’t waste a moment : it’s true.
